Jason leads Public Sector engineering at Orbital Insight where he works with Public Sector customers using advanced machine learning to derive valuable insights from vast quantities of satellite imagery.
Previously Jason has worked in numerous engineering and research roles, from NASA research scientist, Google product manager, co-founder, CEO, and professor. He is best known for developing advanced antenna synthesis algorithms and leading the team that put the first evolved antennas into space, including using them on the moon. He co-founded a successful startup company that commercialized the industry’s first cloud-based electromagnetic design software. In addition to Orbital Insight, he maintains an adjunct faculty appointment at Carnegie Mellon University. He has over 60 technical publications and his work has been featured in Wired magazine, MIT Tech Review, and Popular Science.
Jason received his BS from Lehigh University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland at College Park, all in Electrical Engineering.
