Melissa Wuerl is the Vice President for Business Development at Spaceflight, Inc., focused on new business development
and forming strategic external partnerships for the company. Previously, Melissa was the Director of Business Development and Programs at Andrews Space, acquired by Spaceflight Industries in 2015, overseeing all aspects of new business development and program execution.
Prior to joining Spaceflight, Melissa served in a variety of business development and program management roles at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company across multiple lines of business including Remote Sensing and Satellite Systems, Launch Systems Integration, Strategic Missile Defense Systems and Environmental Test Lab Services. She was the program manager for the Reentry Vehicle 8 Targets and Countermeasures program and the Huntsville Integrated Test Center. She was also business development Keep Sold lead for the Multiple Kill Vehicle program, Targets and Countermeasures program and has held leadership positions on multi-billion dollar corporate focus new business pursuits, strategic planning and merger/acquisition initiatives.
Melissa holds a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington.
